Botox behandelingen in Rotterdam en Amsterdam, de kosten en prijzen
Both in America and Asia, having a Botox® treatment is just as common as getting a haircut. And even in European countries more and more people discover the benefits of Botox® . But what is Botox®? And what should you know before deciding to have the treatment? And what exactly happens during your very first treatment session?

What is Botox® really?

Botox® or botulin toxin relaxes (groups of) muscles of the face. This helps smooth away facial wrinkles and lines. They may even vanish completely. Botox® is especially effective when used to treat frown lines, worry lines and crow’s feet. But at Injectable Klinieken we also use Botox® successfully to treat excessive sweating, mainly of the armpits. A Botox® treatment reduces excessive sweating.

A Botox® treatment; an excellent precaution

More and more relatively young people decide to have precautionary Botox® treatments. And for good reasons. For if you decide to help the muscles that may later cause your skin to fold and wrinkle relax this will delay their appearance. But the question is: when to start? The answer to this question is, of cause, very personal. When people ask me, I always say ‘The first time you think about having the treatment, the best thing to do is to inform yourself.’

But what if you feel you cannot share your Botox® secret, not even with your best friends? The best thing for you to do is to get all the information you can from your cosmetic physician. And at Injectable Klinieken we think it is important to really build a relationship with your treating physician, so he really understands your very personal definition of beauty and can make you feel safe and at ease with us. That is how we guarantee every costumer maximum attention. Together we discuss every aspect of your personal treatment plan. We perform an extensive facial analysis that will be the basis of your very personal and individual treatment plan that also includes an indication of the price of your treatment.

Your first Botox® treatment at Injectable Klinieken

If the very thought of your very first Botox® treatment scares you a little we can reassure you. You certainly are not the only one to feel that way. That is why your physician will take the time to guide you through every step of your treatment. And of cause we give you the time to think it all over. Should you have any second thoughts, then please talk to your physician.

The actual treatment seems relatively simple and consists of a series of injections into specific muscle (groups). Every area has specific injection sites, and the treatment really does require anatomic knowledge. That explains why we think our specialized physicians’ experience is everything. Each and every one of our physicians is a member of the Dutch Association for Cosmetic Surgery
(NVCG), and is fully qualified to perform these treatments and maintain high standards of professional practice, aftercare and patient registration.

It will take a while for the results of your Botox® treatment to show. After 3 to 4 days you will notice the first results, that will last for 3 to 6 months. Botulin toxin gradually breaks down in the body and it’s safety and affectivity have been proven in numerous scientific studies. That is why Botox® has been registered and approved as a drug.
Just like any drug Botox® does have side effects, but there is only a small chance. Nevertheless, our physicians will tell you all you need to know.

If this makes you curious, just contact us or come to one of our clinics to find out or to plan a consultation without any obligation.

Behandeling tegen overmatig zweten, hyperhidrosis behandeling

By Dr. David Mosmuller

Description of hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating

Perspiring is a normal bodily function that helps regulate the body temperature. People usually perspire when temperature runs high, during or directly after physical labour or as a reaction to emotions like nervousness, anger, shame or fear. Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that can occur as a reaction to normal triggers and may even occur spontaneously.

The abnormal amount of sweat and the typical smell can turn everyday activities into embarrassing actions and can influence your social life in a very negative way. 1 in approximately 100 people suffers from hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating.

The causes of excessive sweating

Excessive sweating can either affect the whole body or one or more specific areas, especially the armpits, the face, the palms of your hands or the soles of your feet. Once the causes are treated well the excessive perspiring will end soon after. If these or other specific areas of the body are affected it is called primary hyperhidrosis. The causes of this type of hyperhidrosis often remain unclear, but genetic determination can play a part in it.

Secondary hyperhidrosis usually affects the entire body, and is often caused by an illness. Once this illness is treated appropriately the excessive perspiring will end soon after. Well known causes are hyperactivity of the thyroid gland, various infections or diabetes. In some cases hyperhidrosis occurs as a side effect of medication.

Symptoms of hyperhidrosis and excessive perspiring

As I said before hyperhidrosis is basically a form of excessive perspiration. As a result of this your clothes may be damp most of the time, your armpits and palms may be sweaty, which can make writing difficult and shaking hands embarrassing.

This also goes for the smell, especially when the armpits or the soles are affected, even though both types of sweat are odourless at first. But bacteria on the skin will convert the sweat into aromatic fatty acids, that have the well-known characteristic odour.

The diagnosis of hyperhidrosis and excessive perspiring

Tests and additional examination is hardly ever necessary to come to the diagnosis hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. But your physciacian may suggest it when he believes the cause to be some underlying disease.

Ways to treat hyperhidrosis

Aluminium chloride can help reduce the production of excessive sweat. This liquid can be used directly on the affected areas and works for about 48 hours. It has one major side effect; the skin of treated area is likely to show irritation and clothes may be damaged.

Some pills can also help reduce excessive sweating. Their effects are bases on anti-choliergics reduce the production of sweat glands by blocking nerve impulses to treated glands. Unfortunately anti-choliergics have many side effects: dry mouth, dizziness, beef‐wittedness and obstipation.

Iontophoresis is a treatment that uses water to conduct a mild electrical current through the surface of the skin until a slight tingling is felt. This treatment takes between 10 and 20 minutes and needs to be repeated regularly. Nowadays Iontophoresis devices for home use are also available. The effects of Iontophoresis generally lasts for about three days.

Treatment of excessive sweating with Botox®

At Injectable Klinieken we treat excessive sweating with Botox® . This treatment consists of just a few injections but has already proven to be highly effective; it reduces excessive sweating by 95 per cent. And since the treatment is local at no time your body’s temperature regulation is in danger. As I said, the treatment consists of a series of subcutaneous injections, for instance in the armpits. And since most people hardly experience any discomfort they feel it requires no anaesthetic. If, for whatever reason you would feel more comfortable with some form of local anaesthetic your physician can use a special adhesive plaster. After about two days you will notice a reduction of your excessive sweating.

Your Botox® treatment is non-permanent. The duration of the treatment’s effects vary, but you can realistically expect them to last for 6 months, after which period you can repeat it without any risks or side effects.

If none of the treatments I described here proves effective you may consider surgical solutions that reduce excessive sweating.

facelift zonder operatie
We all age and we know this to be one of the facts of life. And as we age our skin loses its natural collagen and elastin. This causes your facial features to slacken. A general loss of volume and elasticity lets the skin fold. As a consequence of these losses wrinkles and lines begin to appear. Under the growing influence of gravity your beautiful V-shaped face will slowly turn into a sad, A-shaped face. But fortunately we can offer a wide range of products and treatments that help to delay this process.

Non-surgical mini facelift

The non-surgical facelift, better known as liquid facelift is a technique involving injectables and dermal fillers (such as Juvederm® , Radiesse™ and Restylane®) that volumize and refresh your skin in the places that most need it and make you look years younger. Without the risks and side effects of surgery a liquid facelift offers you:

– a subtle and natural looking lift of your facial features
– subtle smoothing of lines and wrinkles
– restoration of your natural facial contours
– a younger-looking, refreshed and V-shaped face

And all this without any surgery. A liquid facelift is not just a cheaper alternative. It is also faster and much less painful. A liquid facelift hardly causes any swelling and its results are always subtle and natural.

Every liquid lift requires our expertise as well as our experience

At Injectable Klinieken we believe your phycician should only treat you if he has both the expertise and the experience to work with the injectables we use. Every time I perform a liquid facelift myself the first thing I do is listen to every one of your very personal wishes and desires. After all, I help you solve a problem that bothers you, and turn your wishes into realities. My first step is always a careful analysis of your facial features and of the spots that particularly suffered from loss of natural volume. At the same time I look for hyperactive muscles. My analysis of both aspects results in a personalized treatment plan that meets all your skin’s needs.

How long will the results of my liquid facelift last?

When the liquid lift is performed with advanced dermal fillers like Juvéderm® Ultra, Juvéderm® Ultra Plus, Radiesse™, Restylane®, Perlane® Sculptra® Aesthetic the results will remain visible for about 1 to 2 years. And although every one of these dermal fillers has its own set of characteristics they all revolumize your face and stimulate natural collagen production. Depending on the areas your cosmetic physician choses for treatment, dermal fillers will restore your face’s natural V-shape.

liquid facelift ervaringen

A liquid facelift is often combined with a Botox® treatment. Botox® helps support and maintain the results of your liquid lift and refreshes your appearance.

How much does a liquid facelift cost?

The price of your liquid facelift may vary. It depends on how much dermal filler your treating physician needs to treat you and on your personal wishes. As a consequence it is hardly possible to simply give a one-price-fits-all treatment price. However, treatment is possible from € 600,-

Liquid facelift: our customer’s experiences

The results of your liquid facelift may vary from very subtle to very significant. Many customers I treated tell me how people make them compliments without knowing they had a liquid facelift, and even without asking any questions.
As a medical intern I can say I do know both sides of the scalpel, for not only do I know what injectables can do, but I will also be honest as to what they cannot do.

A liquid facelift can wipe away the years and the hard times outside the operating room. Would you like to learn more about what we can do for you? Just come to us and find out about our expertise or simply book your first consultation right away.
